• RAHA STAR

    Raha Star is a professional pole dancer and showgirl who has been teaching, performing and choreographing pole dance for the past 15 years within Australia, New Zealand and internationally.

    Raha has competed successfully in the elite category of Miss Pole Dance New Zealand taking out third place. She has been a finalist 6 times in the heats for Miss Pole Dance Australia.

    In 2014 she won the Classique category of Pole Theatre Sydney and was a finalist in Miss Pole Dance Asia Pacific 2015 and also finalist for Felix Cane Pole Championship. She was invited to dance in China for Adidas alongside Felix Cane and Maple Loo. And to Singapore alongside Bobbi in her opening number show. She also trained extensively for over a decade with Bobbi who opened Australia’s first pole dance studio and is a pioneer in the pole dance world.

    Raha is the creator of the annual event New Zealand Summer Pole Camp. An event bringing national and international instructors and students for a weekend of pole workshops and 2024 she started Pole Camp Byron Bay.

    Raha has been hosting Miss Pole Dance New Zealand in Queenstown since 2018.

    Her Passion for pole dance as a form of fitness and self-expression has taken her to Japan, Singapore, China, Malaysia and Australia to perform and train with some of the best pole dancers in the world.

  • ELIZA

    Eliza has been pole dancing and instructing for the past 13 years and competing at state and national level for Pole Dance and Aerial Arts for the past 10 years.

    Some of her most recent competitions being:

    Miss Pole Dance Queensland 2nd runner up 2023 and 2019

    Exotic Generation Australia 1st runner up 2023 and 2020

    Finalist in Miss Pole Dance Australia 2023 and 2022

    She has a background in ballet and contemporary dance.

    Most well known for fluidy, flow, and exotic style dance, she loves teaching her students to fully step into their own style and interpretation of movement and building that relationship with their bodies and mind that put them back in their power zone.

  • AMAIA

    Meet Amaia, our vibrant pole teacher who discovered her passion just 5 years ago and hasn't looked back since. Originally from Spain and with a professional background in psychology, Amaia always had interest in physical dancing activities such as zumba, aerobics and contemporary dancing. At an early stage of her life she realised the positive effects of these in her mind and body. However, her love for body expression and movement, as well as embracing challenges led her to pole dancing here in Australia. As an encouraging and inspiring instructor, she is passionate in guiding beginner students on their pole journey. Amaia's true joy lies in creating beautifully simple yet mesmerizing routines, pole choreography and sharing her passion with others in the community.

  • MINA

    Originally from Sydney, trained in Hip Hop, Dancehall, House and body percussion, Mina has over 14 years dance experience gained in Australia, Japan, New York and LA.

    She has danced in music videos for Australian Idol winner Stan Walker, Disco Montego and Senani. She has also performed in events such as Australian Hip Hop Championships, Groove, Carnival Choreographers Ball, Hip Hop Internationals Australia and many community events.

    Mina has taught in dance schools and high schools in Australia, New Zealand and Japan. At Sydney’s Caramell Dance Studio she has taught classes regularly as well as training and performing with Melanie Hitchcock – Founder/Director of Street Dance Australia.

    Mina's classes are about applying all the styles she knows to a partying, having fun and learning new skills while working out. Not to mention helping to build confidence through expressing individuality.

    She has endless energy, so expect to sweat like crazy, build strength and stamina and have loads of fun!

  • RUBY BLU

    Ruby Blu is a professional hula hoop performer and instructor.

    She has been performing and teaching for more than 10 years and is a certified Instructor with Hooplovers. Ruby has been teaching both children and adults in Japan, Australia, New Zealand and Europe.

    In 2012 she started the Hoop Dance Dedications website, where you send in a song and she does a hoop dance to the song for you.

    She invented the Glitter Litter hula hoop which is a hoop spreading glitter from it when you hoop. Ruby has performed at many outdoor festivals, private parties and events.

    Ruby is looking forward to passing her hula hoop skills to you at Star Pole Studio Byron Bay or entertaining you and your guests at your location.

  • HONEY

    Honey began her movement journey as a Taekwondo instructor; after years of dedication gaining a 3rd Dan black belt. She was awarded martial artist of the year, instructor of the year and became regional instructor, running several schools on theNorth Coast of NSW.

    This led her on a journey of deepening her spiritual and physical practice as a yoga teacher, managing a busy studio, and working with clients recovering from addiction and substance abuse.

    Honey then discovered embodiment, expression and empowerment, and a joy of community and sisterhood through pole dancing. During the last 4 years she has been learning from the exceptional instructors at Star Pole and is excited about applying her extensive knowledge of movement to this new artform.
